We provide housing and accommodation assistance for veterans and their families who need it. Access emergency housing support plus short- and long-term accommodation options.
Everyone deserves a place to call home, but sadly, some veterans and their families are going without.
Whether you're couch surfing, living in your car or sleeping rough, we can help you and your family access safe, sustainable housing.

Who is eligible for the Veteran Homelessness Program?
RSL Queensland’s Veteran Homelessness Program is open to ex-serving ADF members who have completed at least one day of continuous full-time service, their partners, and Allied service veterans (subject to additional criteria) who are also:
- experiencing urgent financial hardship and unable to meet basic living expenses
- experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness
- residents of Queensland or (subject to additional criteria) the Northern Territory.

The RSL Queensland Veteran Homelessness Program provides a comprehensive case management approach to support you in finding stable, sustainable accommodation.
Those eligible for the program (see above) may also qualify for

RSL Queensland’s housing and accommodation services are available only for ex-serving Defence members, their partners and dependants.
There’s a range of other organisations and services that may be able to assist you, including:

Can I stay in your independent living accommodation?
If you have served in the ADF and can live independently, you are eligible to apply for one of our independent living options.
Housing is allocated on a needs basis, with consideration given to financial circumstances.

Our long-term veteran housing is subsidised, with consideration given to your specific situation.
You will be required to pay an agreed amount of rent and sign a Rental Tenancy Authority lease agreement.
