Without thousands of passionate members across our state, many of the vital services RSL Queensland provides to veterans and their families couldn’t happen.

Volunteering is the heart and soul of RSL Queensland, and we recognise and thank them for their contribution to veterans and their families.

Throughout our Districts and Sub Branches, members clocked up more than 558,725 volunteering hours in 2023 on welfare and pension activities, commemorative events, fundraising and Sub Branch support.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in volunteering at your local Sub Branch and give back to the veteran community.

For volunteering opportunities, contact your local Sub Branch or become a member.

      Everyone's important

Noel and Margaret Mallyon have helped veterans through Emerald RSL Sub Branch for 45 years. From promoting commemorations throughout the year to providing welfare support, the couple has had a great impact on veterans within the Emerald community. In Noel’s words: “Everyone’s important… we like to give with our hearts and our hands, not our hip pocket.”
