      Partners of current or ex-serving Defence members can face employment challenges if their partner is posted to a new location or transitions out of Defence for any reason. As a crucial member in a Defence family, partners possess unique attributes that are highly desirable to civilian employers. These include:  

      • resilience, demonstrated by a strong adaptability to change and ability to quickly overcome challenges  
      • organisational, which partners require to plan moves and alter activities, often at the last minute
